€55M rated forward with 20 goal contributions this season accept to join Tottenham now
The Spurs are hoping to get Nico Williams to sign with them this summer.
Before next season, Tottenham Hotspur would want to strengthen their offensive lineup. Nico Williams, a star player for Athletic Club in Spain, is the target of the North London club’s winger transfer window.
‘Tempted’ to join them in the forthcoming summer transfer window, according to AS via SportWitness. He is 21 years old. His outstanding play has earned him a spot on the Spanish national team, and he has already established himself as a staple on the Athletic Club first squad, despite his youth.
Williams has made 30 appearances this season and has helped set up 20 goals. With six goals and fourteen assists, he is a dangerous offensive threat. Their recent Copa del Rey victory was heavily influenced by the 21-year-old.
He helped Athletic Club finally win a trophy after 40 years of trying, with an assist in the final and eight goals scored or assisted in his six games played.
Many people are interested in him because of his enormous potential and steady performances. There is a €55 million release clause in his contract, even if he did sign an extension at the end of last year that runs until summer of 2017.
Tottenham, who have been trying to entice the player to join them in North London for a few months, deem the clause to be reasonable.
The flanks are a target for Ange Postecoglou’s search for depth. He needs a long-term partner, and Williams is definitely one of them. The addition of this versatile player will provide the Spurs manager more options on the pitch.
